"प्रभु ने हाथ में शार्गं धनुष लेकर कमर में बाणों की खान (अक्षय) सुंदर तरकस कस लिया। उनके भुजदण्ड पुष्ट हैं और मनोहर चौड़ी छाती पर ब्राह्मण (भृगुजी) के चरण का चिह्न शोभित है। तुलसीदासजी कहते हैं, ज्यों ही प्रभु धनुष-बाण हाथ में लेकर फिराने लगे, त्यों ही ब्रह्माण्ड, दिशाओं के हाथी, कच्छप, शेषजी, पृथ्वी, समुद्र और पर्वत सभी डगमगा उठे।"

"The Lord held the beautiful Sharang bow in His hand and fastened at His waist a graceful quiver with an inexhaustible source of arrows. His powerful arms were firm and well formed, and upon His broad, radiant chest shone the sacred mark of the Brahmin sage Bhrigu’s foot. Tulsidas says that as soon as the Lord began to move His bow and arrows, the entire cosmos trembled, the elephants of the directions, the divine Tortoise, Sheshnag, the Earth, the oceans, and the mountains all began to quake."
