धरि केस नारि निकारि बाहेर तेऽतिदीन पुकारहीं॥
तब उठेउ क्रुद्ध कृतांत सम गहि चरन बानर डारई।
एहि बीच कपिन्ह बिधंस कृत मख देखि मन महुँ हारई॥

Hindi Meaning
"जब उसने नहीं देखा, तब वानर क्रोध करके उसे दाँतों से पकड़कर (काटने और) लातों से मारने लगे। स्त्रियों को बाल पकड़कर घर से बाहर घसीट लाए, वे अत्यंत ही दीन होकर पुकारने लगीं। तब रावण काल के समान क्रोधित होकर उठा और वानरों को पैर पकड़कर पटकने लगा। इसी बीच में वानरों ने यज्ञ विध्वंस कर डाला, यह देखकर वह मन में हारने लगा। (निराश होने लगा)।"
English Meaning
"When Ravan ignored them, the enraged monkey warriors kicked and bit him, dragging the palace women out by their hair as they cried in anguish. At last, Ravan rose in furious rage like the God of Death, seizing the monkeys by their feet and hurling them away, but by then his sacrifice had already been destroyed, and seeing this, Ravan felt shattered and defeated in his heart."
