"फिर उसने लक्ष्मणजी, सुग्रीव और विभीषण को बाणों से मारकर उनके शरीर को छलनी कर दिया। फिर वह श्री रघुनाथजी से लड़ने लगा। वह जो बाण छोड़ता है, वे साँप होकर लगते हैं॥5॥"
English Meaning
"After that, Meghnad shot a fierce stream of arrows at Lakshman ji, Sugriv, and Vibhishan, wounding their bodies severely, then he charged toward Shri Raghupati, and the arrows he released transformed into serpents as they struck Shri Ram."
