Hindi Meaning
"रावण के उग्र (कठोर) वचन सुनकर सब वीर डर गए और लज्जित होकर क्रोध करके युद्ध के लिए लौट चले। रण में (शत्रु के) सम्मुख (युद्ध करते हुए) मरने में ही वीर की शोभा है। (यह सोचकर) तब उन्होंने प्राणों का लोभ छोड़ दिया॥5॥"
English Meaning
"Hearing Ravan’s harsh words, all the demons grew fearful and ashamed and turned back to face the enemy. They reasoned that it was glorious to die confronting the foe on the battlefield, and in this way, they cast aside their attachment to their own lives."
