"The yoginis (the female attendants of Goddess Durga endowed with yogic powers) filled and stored skulls with blood, while witches and demonesses danced through the sky, and the Chamundas (also fierce attendants of the Goddess) clashed the skulls of fallen warriors like pairs of cymbals and sang in many haunting tones."
