Hindi Meaning
"(और बोला-) हे वीरों! सब लोग चारों दिशाओं में जाओ और रीछ-वानर सबको पकड़-पकड़कर खाओ। (शिवजी कहते हैं-) हे उमा! रावण को ऐसा अभिमान था जैसा टिटिहिरी पक्षी पैर ऊपर की ओर करके सोता है (मानो आकाश को थाम लेगा)॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…Brave warriors, go in all four directions, and wherever you find monkeys and bears, seize them and devour them all.” Lord Shiv said to Goddess Parvati, “Uma, Ravan’s false pride was like that of a sandpiper bird that sleeps with its legs raised toward the sky, imagining it will hold up the sky if it falls.”"
