"भावार्थ : बहुत तरह के मगर, नाक (घड़ियाल), मच्छ और सर्प थे, जिनके सौ-सौ योजन के बहुत बड़े विशाल शरीर थे। कुछ ऐसे भी जन्तु थे, जो उनको भी खा जाएँ। किसी-किसी के डर से तो वे भी डर रहे थे॥3॥"

"There were countless crocodiles, alligators, fish, and serpents, displaying their immense forms, some stretching as long as twelve hundred kilometres. Yet, there were others still who could swallow even these gigantic beings. Indeed, within the vast ocean, every creature lived in fear of another."
