Hindi Meaning
"क्यों रे मूर्ख उद्दण्ड! श्री रामचंद्रजी मनुष्य हैं? कामदेव भी क्या धनुर्धारी है? और गंगाजी क्या नदी हैं? कामधेनु क्या पशु है? और कल्पवृक्ष क्या पेड़ है? अन्न भी क्या दान है? और अमृत क्या रस है?॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…How can Shri Ram be a mere human, you arrogant fool? Is the God of Love (Kaamdev) merely an archer? Is the celestial river Ganga just an ordinary river? Is the wish-fulfilling cow Surabhi simply an animal? Is the celestial tree (Kalpavriksh) just a tree? Is the gift of food an ordinary offering? And is nectar merely some common juice?…"
