Hindi Meaning
"भावार्थ : उस समय तुम लोगों में से किसी को भूख न थी? (बंदर तो तुम्हारा भोजन ही हैं, फिर) नगर जलाते समय उसे पकड़कर क्यों नहीं खा लिया? इन मन्त्रियों ने स्वामी (आप) को ऐसी सम्मति सुनायी है जो सुनने में अच्छी है पर जिससे आगे चलकर दुःख पाना होगा॥2॥"
English Meaning
"…Did everyone lose their hunger then? When he set the city ablaze, why did no one among us seize and devour him? These Ministers offer words that delight the ear, yet such counsel will only lead to grief in the end…"
