Hindi Meaning
"रण के उत्साह में कुंभकर्ण विरुद्ध होकर (उनके) सामने ऐसा चला मानो क्रोधित होकर काल ही आ रहा हो। वह करोड़-करोड़ वानरों को एक साथ पकड़कर खाने लगा! (वे उसके मुँह में इस तरह घुसने लगे) मानो पर्वत की गुफा में टिड्डियाँ समा रही हों॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Kumbhkaran, intoxicated by the lust for battle, advanced upon the enemy like the enraged God of Death, seizing millions of monkeys and devouring them in a single sweep, the sight resembling a swarm of locusts pouring into a mountain cave."
