Hindi Meaning
"(भरतजी बोले-) हे तात! छोटे भाई लक्ष्मण तथा माता जानकी सहित सुखनिधान श्री रामजी की कुशल कहो। वानर (हनुमान्जी) ने संक्षेप में सब कथा कही। सुनकर भरतजी दुःखी हुए और मन में पछताने लगे॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Bharat ji said, “O’ Brother, tell me about the well-being of the fountain of bliss, Shri Ram, along with His younger brother Shri Lakshman and mother Janaki.” Hanuman ji then narrated the entire sequence of events in brief. Hearing it, Bharat ji was deeply saddened, and his heart filled with remorse."
