"(शिवजी कहते हैं-) हे गिरिजे! सुनो, (प्रलयकाल में) जिन (शेषनाग) के क्रोध की अग्नि चौदहों भुवनों को तुरंत ही जला डालती है और देवता, मनुष्य तथा समस्त चराचर (जीव) जिनकी सेवा करते हैं, उनको संग्राम में कौन जीत सकता है?॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Lord Shiv said to Goddess Parvati, “Listen, Girija, the fire of whose wrath can burn all fourteen Realms of creation to ashes at the time of final dissolution, and who is worshipped by Demigods, humans, and all beings, both animate and inanimate, how can anyone ever hope to defeat him in battle?…"
