Hindi Meaning
"वे परकोटे के कँगूरों पर कैसे शोभित हो रहे हैं, मानो सुमेरु के शिखरों पर बादल बैठे हों। जुझाऊ ढोल और डंके आदि बज रहे हैं, (जिनकी) ध्वनि सुनकर योद्धाओं के मन में (लड़ने का) चाव होता है॥1॥"
English Meaning
"On the golden bastions and parapets of Lanka’s fort, they appeared like a cluster of dark clouds gathered upon the peak of Mount Meru. The thunderous clash of kettledrums and tabors filled the hearts of the warriors with fierce enthusiasm for battle."
