Hindi Meaning
"तब श्री रघुनाथजी की आज्ञा पाकर इंद्र का सारथी मातलि चरणों में सिर नवाकर (रथ लेकर) चला गया। तदनन्तर सदा के स्वार्थी देवता आए। वे ऐसे वचन कह रहे हैं मानो बड़े परमार्थी हों॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Then, having received Lord Ram’s command, Indra’s charioteer, Matali, bowed at the Lord’s feet and departed. Thereafter, the Demigods, often driven by their own interests, approached Lord Ram and spoke words as though they were sincere seekers of the highest truth."
