सुत सन कह दसकंठ रिसाई। असि मति सठ केहिं तोहि सिखाई॥1॥

Hindi Meaning
"भावार्थ : हे प्रभो! यदि आप मेरी यह सम्मति मानेंगे, तो जगत् में दोनों ही प्रकार से आपका सुयश होगा। रावण ने गुस्से में भरकर पुत्र से कहा- अरे मूर्ख! तुझे ऐसी बुद्धि किसने सिखायी?॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…O’ Lord, if you heed my counsel, your noble fame will spread across the world, whether by returning Janaki ji to Lord Ram, by triumphing in battle against Him, or by bravely laying down your life in combat.” Hearing his son’s words, the ten-headed Ravan flared with fury and roared, “O’ Fool, who has filled your mind with such cowardly wisdom?…"
