"भावार्थ : (शरद् ऋतु पाकर) राजा, तपस्वी, व्यापारी और भिखारी (क्रमशः विजय, तप, व्यापार और भिक्षा के लिए) हर्षित होकर नगर छोड़कर चले। जैसे श्री हरि की भक्ति पाकर चारों आश्रम वाले (नाना प्रकार के साधन रूपी) श्रमों को त्याग देते हैं॥16॥"

"…With the arrival of Autumn, the four social classes: royalty, ascetics, tradesmen, and beggars, left the city joyfully, each following their own pursuits. (The King seeks victory over enemies or the expansion of his empire, the ascetics look for a place suitable for penance, the tradesmen conduct their business, and the beggars seek alms). In the same way, when devotion to Lord Hari is attained, men in any of the four stages of life (student, householder, ascetic, or renunciate), give up the many labours of worldly pursuits (of each of the four phases)…"
