"भावार्थ : यहाँ (वन में) राक्षस ने (मेरी पत्नी) जानकी को हर लिया। हे ब्राह्मण! हम उसे ही खोजते फिरते हैं। हमने तो अपना चरित्र कह सुनाया। अब हे ब्राह्मण! अपनी कथा समझाकर कहिए ॥2॥"
English Meaning
"…but here in the forest, a demon has abducted Videhi, the daughter of King Janak. We are now searching for Her, O’ Brahmin. We have shared our story; kindly tell us about yourself.”"
