Hindi Meaning
"दोनों कुलों के गुरु वर और कन्या की हथेलियों को मिलाकर शाखोच्चार करने लगे। पाणिग्रहण हुआ देखकर ब्रह्मादि देवता, मनुष्य और मुनि आनंद में भर गए। सुख के मूल दूलह को देखकर राजा-रानी का शरीर पुलकित हो गया और हृदय आनंद से उमंग उठा। राजाओं के अलंकार स्वरूप महाराज जनकजी ने लोक और वेद की रीति को करके कन्यादान किया॥3॥"
English Meaning
"Joining the palms of the Bride and the Bridegroom, the family priests, Vashishth ji and Shatanand ji, solemnly recited the illustrious genealogies of both clans. As the Bridegroom accepted the Bride’s hand, Lord Brahma, along with all the Demigods, Sages, and humans, rejoiced with great delight. As the King and Queen gazed upon the Bridegroom, the very source of all happiness, their bodies trembled with bliss and their hearts overflowed with divine joy. The jewel among Kings, Janak ji, then performed all the sacred Vedic rites and family traditions, and lovingly gave his daughter Sita ji in marriage to Shri Ram."
