"इस अत्यन्त अप्रिय वाणी को सुनकर राजा का हृदय काँप उठा और उनके मुख की कांति फीकी पड़ गई। (उन्होंने कहा-) हे ब्राह्मण! मैंने चौथेपन में चार पुत्र पाए हैं, आपने विचार कर बात नहीं कही॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Hearing these extremely distressing words from Sage Vishwamitra, King Dashrath’s heart trembled, and his face turned pale. He said, “O’ Brahmin, I was blessed with my Sons in my old age. You have spoken without due consideration…"
