Hindi Meaning
"योगी निष्कंटक हो गए, कामदेव की स्त्री रति अपने पति की यह दशा सुनते ही मूर्च्छित हो गई। रोती-चिल्लाती और भाँति-भाँति से करुणा करती हुई वह शिवजी के पास गई। अत्यन्त प्रेम के साथ अनेकों प्रकार से विनती करके हाथ जोड़कर सामने खड़ी हो गई। शीघ्र प्रसन्न होने वाले कृपालु शिवजी अबला (असहाय स्त्री) को देखकर सुंदर (उसको सान्त्वना देने वाले) वचन बोले।"
English Meaning
"The yogis became free of all obstacles, while Rati, the wife of Kaamdev, collapsed in grief upon hearing of her husband’s fate. Wailing and lamenting bitterly, she rushed to Lord Shankar, pleading with Him in many ways. With tears in her eyes and hands folded in devotion, she stood before Him, seeking mercy. The compassionate Lord Shiv, who is easily pleased, beheld the sorrowful woman and, moved by her anguish, spoke these sweet, comforting, and truthful words,…"
