संत-असंत वंदना – Contrast between Saints and the evil-minded

"पवन के संग से धूल आकाश पर चढ़ जाती है और वही नीच (नीचे की ओर बहने वाले) जल के संग से कीचड़ में मिल जाती है। साधु के घर के तोता-मैना राम-राम सुमिरते हैं और असाधु के घर के तोता-मैना गिन-गिनकर गालियाँ देते हैं॥5॥"

"A person ascends in life by associating with virtuous individuals, much like dust rises with the wind. Conversely, one descends by associating with the wicked, just as dust turns into sludge when mixed with water. Even birds like mynahs and parrots, when in the homes of saints, chant the name of God, but in the homes of the wicked, they utter foul words."
