"Rows of trees bearing fruits of betel nut, banana, mango, malsiri (Indian Medlar tree), and bay leaf were planted, their heavy, flower and fruit-laden branches bending low to touch the ground. The pits dug to plant these trees were artfully lined with precious gems."
