"उस दैत्यराज की स्त्री परम सती (बड़ी ही पतिव्रता) थी। उसी के प्रताप से त्रिपुरासुर (जैसे अजेय शत्रु) का विनाश करने वाले शिवजी भी उस दैत्य को नहीं जीत सके॥4॥"
English Meaning
"The wife of the demon lord Jalandhar, Vrinda, was an exceptionally pious woman. Due to the power of her chastity, even the slayer Tripur (Lord Shiv) was unable to defeat Jalandhar in battle."
