खल वंदना – Salutations to the wicked

"जो तेज (दूसरों को जलाने वाले ताप) में अग्नि और क्रोध में यमराज के समान हैं, पाप और अवगुण रूपी धन में कुबेर के समान धनी हैं, जिनकी बढ़ती सभी के हित का नाश करने के लिए केतु (पुच्छल तारे) के समान है और जिनके कुम्भकर्ण की तरह सोते रहने में ही भलाई है॥3॥"

"They resemble the God of Fire in their intensity and Yamraj, the God of Death who rides a buffalo, in their anger. They are as rich in sin and bad qualities as Lord Kuber is in wealth. Just as the rise of the planet Ketu brings misfortune to others, their advancement causes harm. It is, therefore, better that they remain asleep, like Kumbhkaran, the brother of Demon King Ravan, who used to sleep for six months a year."
