बारात का जनकपुर में आना और स्वागतादि – Arrival of the marriage procession and its reception at Janakpur

"पंचशब्द (तंत्री, ताल, झाँझ, नगारा और तुरही- इन पाँच प्रकार के बाजों के शब्द), पंचध्वनि (वेदध्वनि, वन्दिध्वनि, जयध्वनि, शंखध्वनि और हुलूध्वनि) और मंगलगान हो रहे हैं। नाना प्रकार के वस्त्रों के पाँवड़े पड़ रहे हैं। उन्होंने (रानी ने) आरती करके अर्घ्य दिया, तब श्री रामजी ने मंडप में गमन किया॥2॥"

"Five kinds of music filled the air (such as the veena, clapping of hands, cymbals, kettledrums, and trumpets). These were accompanied by five varieties of festive sounds (Vedic chants, praises by family bards, joyous victory cries, the blast of conches, and rhythmic drumbeats). The path ahead was adorned with carpets of rich and varied fabrics. After completing the aarti, the Queen offered water to Lord Ram for washing His hands. Thereafter, Shri Ram gracefully proceeded toward the wedding pavilion."
