Hindi Meaning
"दूतों ने प्रणाम करके चिट्ठी दी। प्रसन्न होकर राजा ने स्वयं उठकर उसे लिया। चिट्ठी बाँचते समय उनके नेत्रों में जल (प्रेम और आनंद के आँसू) छा गया, शरीर पुलकित हो गया और छाती भर आई॥2॥"
English Meaning
"The messengers bowed before King Dashrath and humbly presented the letter. Overjoyed, the King of the Earth, Dashrath ji, rose from his throne to receive it himself. As he read the letter, his eyes filled with tears of love and happiness, his body trembled with emotion, and his heart overflowed with joy."
