"At the sight of him, all the kings were seized with fear, like a quail trembling under the shadow of a hawk. His fair, ash-smeared body radiated a fierce aura, and his broad forehead was adorned with a shining Tripund (the three sacred horizontal lines worn by devotees of Lord Shiv)."
