"सज्जन व्यक्ति इस बात को मुझ दास की धृष्टता या कल्पना न समझें, मैं अपने मन के विश्वास, प्रेम और रुचि की बात कहता हूँ। निर्गुण ब्रह्म का ज्ञान उस अप्रकट अग्नि के समान है, जो लकड़ी के अंदर है परन्तु दिखती नहीं है और सगुण ब्रह्म उस प्रकट अग्नि के समान है, जो प्रत्यक्ष दिखलाई देती है।"
