प्रभु ब्रह्मन्यदेव मैं जाना। मोहि निति पिता तजेउ भगवाना॥2॥

Hindi Meaning
"श्याम और गौर वर्ण के दोनों भाई परम सुंदर हैं। विश्वामित्रजी को महान निधि प्राप्त हो गई। (वे सोचने लगे-) मैं जान गया कि प्रभु ब्रह्मण्यदेव (ब्राह्मणों के भक्त) हैं। मेरे लिए भगवान ने अपने पिता को भी छोड़ दिया॥2॥"
English Meaning
"The two Brothers are exceedingly handsome, one dark-complexioned (Shri Ram) and the other fair-complexioned (Shri Lakshman). Sage Vishwamitra felt as if he had obtained a vast treasure in the form of these two divine Princes. He pondered, “I now realize that Lord Ram holds Brahmins in the highest regard, for He has left His own father and willingly accompanied me to the forest for my sake.”"
