जनक जी की निराशाजनक वाणी, श्री लक्ष्मण जी का क्रोध, विश्वामित्रजी का राम जी को धनुष तोड़ोने के लिये बोलना – King Janak’s disappointment, Shri Lakshman’s anger, Guru ji instructs Ram ji to break the bow

"राजाओं की आशा रूपी रात्रि नष्ट हो गई। उनके वचन रूपी तारों के समूह का चमकना बंद हो गया। (वे मौन हो गए)। अभिमानी राजा रूपी कुमुद संकुचित हो गए और कपटी राजा रूपी उल्लू छिप गए॥1॥"

"As Shri Ram rose like the rising Sun, the hopes of the kings, like the darkness of night, vanished, and their boasts faded away, just as stars lose their sparkle at dawn. The arrogant kings, like lilies, withered, while the cunning ones, like owls, slipped away into hiding."
