"इस तरह करोड़ों कुटिलपन की बातें गढ़-छोलकर मन्थरा ने कैकेयी को उलटा-सीधा समझा दिया और सैकड़ों सौतों की कहानियाँ इस प्रकार (बना-बनाकर) कहीं जिस प्रकार विरोध बढ़े॥18॥"
English Meaning
"In this way, Manthara devised countless wicked schemes and thoroughly manipulated Queen Kaikeyi’s mind. She narrated hundreds of stories about co-wives, all intended to inflame Queen Kaikeyi’s envy and deepen her resentment toward Queen Kaushalya."
