Hindi Meaning
"हे राम! आप वेद की मर्यादा के रक्षक जगदीश्वर हैं और जानकीजी (आपकी स्वरूप भूता) माया हैं, जो कृपा के भंडार आपका रुख पाकर जगत का सृजन, पालन और संहार करती हैं। जो हजार मस्तक वाले सर्पों के स्वामी और पृथ्वी को अपने सिर पर धारण करने वाले हैं, वही चराचर के स्वामी शेषजी लक्ष्मण हैं। देवताओं के कार्य के लिए आप राजा का शरीर धारण करके दुष्ट राक्षसों की सेना का नाश करने के लिए चले हैं।"
English Meaning
"…O’ Ram, Custodian of the Vedas and Lord of the Universe, You are the boundless ocean of compassion. Janaki (Sita ji), Your Maya (divine illusion), creates, sustains, and dissolves the Cosmos at Your will. Lakshman, the thousand-headed Lord of Serpents, who upholds the Universe, is the sovereign of all beings, both animate and inanimate. For the sake of the Demigods, You have taken the form of a human Prince and embarked on a sacred mission to annihilate the vile army of demons…"
