"जनकजी का ज्ञान रूपी चिरंजीवी (मार्कण्डेय) मुनि व्याकुल होकर डूबते-डूबते मानो उस श्री राम प्रेम रूपी बालक का सहारा पाकर बच गया। वस्तुतः (ज्ञानिशिरोमणि) विदेहराज की बुद्धि मोह में मग्न नहीं है। यह तो श्री सीता-रामजी के प्रेम की महिमा है (जिसने उन जैसे महान ज्ञानी के ज्ञान को भी विकल कर दिया)॥4॥"

"King Janak’s wisdom, personified as the immortal Sage Markandey, was greatly bewildered and nearly submerged in the waters of divine love, until he found support in the infant form of Shri Ram and was thus saved. Though Janak ji’s mind remained untouched by worldly infatuation, it was the splendour of his pure, untainted love for Shri Raghuveer and Sita ji that shone forth."
