Hindi Meaning
"यदि इनके हृदय में कपट और कुचाल न होती, तो रथ, घोड़े और हाथियों की कतार (ऐसे समय) किसे सुहाती? परन्तु भरत को ही व्यर्थ कौन दोष दे? राजपद पा जाने पर सारा जगत् ही पागल (मतवाला) हो जाता है॥4॥"
English Meaning
"…If their hearts were free from deceit or ill intent, then why would they approach with chariots, horses, and herds of elephants? After all, who would bring a full army just to meet someone in the forest? But then again, what is the use of blaming Bharat alone, when it is well known that the lure of power and the throne can drive even the wisest of men in this world mad…"
