भरतजी चित्रकूट के मार्ग में – Bharat ji on his way to Chitrakoot

"उनके (प्रेम और दीनता से पूर्ण) वचनों को सुनकर वज्र और पत्थर भी पिघल जाते हैं। अयोध्यावासियों का प्रेम कहते नहीं बनता। बीच में निवास (मुकाम) करके भरतजी यमुनाजी के तट पर आए। यमुनाजी का जल देखकर उनके नेत्रों में जल भर आया॥4॥"

"Even thunderbolts (a metaphor for Demigod Indra who carries a thunderbolt) and stones (a metaphor for the tribals who are tough-hearted) melted at the sound of Shri Bharat’s voice. The love and devotion of the people cannot be described in words. After taking a brief rest halfway, Bharat ji reached the banks of the Yamuna River. Seeing its waters (dark-hued like Shri Ram’s swarthy form), Bharat ji’s eyes filled with tears."
