श्री राम, लक्ष्मण जी, सीता जी का दशरथ जी से विदा माँगना और वन जाना – Lord Ram, Lakshman ji and Sita ji bid farewell to king Dashrath and proceed to the forest

"ऐसा विचारकर जो तुम्हें अच्छा लगे वही करो। माता की सीख सुनकर श्री रामचन्द्रजी ने (बड़ा) सुख पाया, परन्तु राजा को ये वचन बाण के समान लगे। (वे सोचने लगे) अब भी अभागे प्राण (क्यों) नहीं निकलते!॥3॥"

"…Bearing this in mind, do as You please.” Shri Ram was pleased to hear His stepmother’s words, spoken with calmness and resolve. But to King Dashrath, those very words struck like arrows to the heart. He thought to himself, “Why, even now, does this unfortunate lifeforce not leave my body?”"
