Hindi Meaning
"आज सबके पुण्यों का फल पूरा हो गया। कठिन काल हमारे विपरीत हो गया। (इस प्रकार) बहुत विलाप करके और अपने को परम अभागिनी जानकर माता श्री रामचन्द्रजी के चरणों में लिपट गईं॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…Today, the fruits of everyone’s meritorious deeds have come to an end, and cruel fate has turned against us.” Thinking of herself as the most unfortunate woman, Mother Kaushalya wept bitterly in many ways and clung tightly to Shri Ram’s feet."
