Hindi Meaning
"सीताजी समेत दोनों भाइयों (श्री राम-लक्ष्मण) को सरल स्वभाव देखकर कुटिल रानी कैकेयी भरपेट पछताई। वह पृथ्वी तथा यमराज से याचना करती है, किन्तु धरती बीच (फटकर समा जाने के लिए रास्ता) नहीं देती और विधाता मौत नहीं देता॥3॥"
English Meaning
"Upon seeing Sita ji and the two gentle-hearted Brothers, Shri Ram and Lakshman ji, Queen Kaikeyi, tormented by guilt and regret, was overcome with sorrow. She begged Mother Earth to open and take her in, and pleaded with Yamraj, the God of Death, to end her life. But neither did the Earth accept her, nor did Death grant her release."
