श्री राम-भरत-संवाद, पादुका प्रदान, भरतजी की बिदाई – Dialogue between Lord Ram and Bharat ji, the gift of sandals and his farewell

"इधर तो भरतजी का शील (प्रेम) और उधर गुरुजनों, मंत्रियों तथा समाज की उपस्थिति! यह देखकर श्री रघुनाथजी संकोच तथा स्नेह के विशेष वशीभूत हो गए (अर्थात भरतजी के प्रेमवश उन्हें पाँवरी देना चाहते हैं, किन्तु साथ ही गुरु आदि का संकोच भी होता है।) आखिर (भरतजी के प्रेमवश) प्रभु श्री रामचन्द्रजी ने कृपा कर खड़ाऊँ दे दीं और भरतजी ने उन्हें आदरपूर्वक सिर पर धारण कर लिया॥2॥"

"Shri Raghuveer found Himself divided, on one side was His deep affection for Shri Bharat’s humility, and on the other was the presence of His Guru, the Minister, and the entire assembly. In the end, compassion triumphed, and the Lord entrusted His wooden sandals (Paduka) to Bharat ji, which Bharat ji had carried along with the articles for Shri Ram’s coronation. With utmost reverence, Shri Bharat lifted the sandals and placed them upon his head."
