Hindi Meaning
"युद्ध में मरण, फिर गंगाजी का तट, श्री रामजी का काम और क्षणभंगुर शरीर (जो चाहे जब नाश हो जाए), भरत श्री रामजी के भाई और राजा (उनके हाथ से मरना) और मैं नीच सेवक- बड़े भाग्य से ऐसी मृत्यु मिलती है॥2॥"
English Meaning
"…I will lay down my life on the battlefield, right here on the banks of the sacred Ganga river, and give up this mortal body for the sake of Shri Ram. Bharat is Shri Ram’s Brother and a King, while I am but a lowly servant, yet to die in Shri Ram’s service would be the greatest honour and fortune of my life…"
