Hindi Meaning
"(क्योंकि) गुरु, पिता, माता, स्वामी और सुहृद् (मित्र) की वाणी सुनकर प्रसन्न मन से उसे अच्छी समझकर करना (मानना) चाहिए। उचित-अनुचित का विचार करने से धर्म जाता है और सिर पर पाप का भार चढ़ता है॥2॥"
English Meaning
"…for the guidance of one’s Guru, father, mother, master, and true friend should be followed with a joyful heart, trusting it to be for one’s good. One who begins to judge such advice as right or wrong risks falling from the path of righteousness and may incur great sin…"
