Hindi Meaning
"चंदन और अगर के तथा और भी अनेकों प्रकार के अपार (कपूर, गुग्गुल, केसर आदि) सुगंध द्रव्यों के बहुत से बोझ आए। सरयूजी के तट पर सुंदर चिता रचकर बनाई गई, (जो ऐसी मालूम होती थी) मानो स्वर्ग की सुंदर सीढ़ी हो॥2॥"
English Meaning
"Many loads of sandalwood, aloe wood, and countless exquisite aromatic incenses were brought forth. On the banks of the sacred Saryu River, a funeral pyre was artfully constructed, so magnificent that it looked like a beautiful staircase leading to Heaven."
