नतरु बाँझ भलि बादि बिआनी। राम बिमुख सुत तें हित जानी॥1॥

Hindi Meaning
"संसार में वही युवती स्त्री पुत्रवती है, जिसका पुत्र श्री रघुनाथजी का भक्त हो। नहीं तो जो राम से विमुख पुत्र से अपना हित जानती है, वह तो बाँझ ही अच्छी। पशु की भाँति उसका ब्याना (पुत्र प्रसव करना) व्यर्थ ही है॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…Only that young woman truly deserves to be called a mother whose son is a devotee of Shri Ram. Otherwise, it is better to remain childless, for to bear a child without devotion, like the animals do, or to take pride in a son who is hostile towards Ram, is utterly meaningless…"
