Hindi Meaning
"रघुकुल में श्रेष्ठ श्री रामजी के ये बहुत ही नम्र और मीठे वचन माता के हृदय में बाण के समान लगे और कसकने लगे। उस शीतल वाणी को सुनकर कौसल्या वैसे ही सहमकर सूख गईं जैसे बरसात का पानी पड़ने से जवासा सूख जाता है॥1॥"
English Meaning
"The sweet and humble words of Shri Raghuveer pierced Mother Kaushalya’s heart like a sharp arrow. Hearing Shri Ram’s gentle speech, she was overcome with fear and turned pale, like the delicate grass that withers the moment rain touches it."
