Hindi Meaning
"मछली चाहे बिना पानी के जीती रहे और साँप भी चाहे बिना मणि के दीन-दुःखी होकर जीता रहे, परन्तु मैं स्वभाव से ही कहता हूँ, मन में (जरा भी) छल रखकर नहीं कि मेरा जीवन राम के बिना नहीं है॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…A fish might somehow survive without water, or a serpent might painfully endure the loss of the gem from its hood, but I say this with absolute honesty and not a hint of falsehood, I cannot live without Ram…"
