"शरीर पुलकित है, हृदय में श्री सीता-रामजी हैं। जीभ राम नाम जप रही है, नेत्रों में प्रेम का जल भरा है। लक्ष्मणजी, श्री रामजी और सीताजी तो वन में बसते हैं, परन्तु भरतजी घर ही में रहकर तप के द्वारा शरीर को कस रहे हैं॥1॥"

"With his body thrilling with emotion and Shri Raghuveer along with Sita ji enshrined in his heart, Bharat ji fervently chanted the holy name of Shri Ram, his eyes brimming with tears. While Shri Ram, Lakshman ji, and Sita ji endured the hardships of the forest, Bharat ji embraced severe penance and austerities upon himself, dwelling in his hermitage at Nandigram."
