Hindi Meaning
"यह (श्री रामजी के आगमन का) समाचार जब कोल-भीलों ने पाया, तो वे ऐसे हर्षित हुए मानो नवों निधियाँ उनके घर ही पर आ गई हों। वे दोनों में कंद, मूल, फल भर-भरकर चले, मानो दरिद्र सोना लूटने चले हों॥1॥"
English Meaning
"When news of Shri Ram’s arrival reached the tribals and hunters, they rejoiced as if the very power to give and receive the nine types of wealth had entered their homes. Eagerly, they filled leaf-cups with roots, bulbs, and fruits and rushed to meet Shri Ram, like paupers running to seize a treasure of gold."
