Hindi Meaning
"निषादराज और लक्ष्मणजी सहित श्री सीताजी और श्री रामचन्द्रजी (नाव से) उतरकर गंगाजी की रेत (बालू) में खड़े हो गए। तब केवट ने उतरकर दण्डवत की। (उसको दण्डवत करते देखकर) प्रभु को संकोच हुआ कि इसको कुछ दिया नहीं॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Upon reaching the other side, Shri Ram, Sita ji, Lakshman ji, and the Chief of the Nishads, Guh, stepped out of the boat and stood upon the sandy banks of the sacred river Ganga. The boatman Kevat too disembarked and fell at the Lord’s feet in reverence. Shri Ram, moved by his devotion, grew thoughtful, He felt a gentle concern that He had given nothing in return to the devoted boatman."
