Hindi Meaning
"भावार्थ : जैसे सिंह की स्त्री को तुच्छ खरगोश चाहे, वैसे ही अरे राक्षसराज! तू (मेरी चाह करके) काल के वश हुआ है। ये वचन सुनते ही रावण को क्रोध आ गया, परन्तु मन में उसने सीताजी के चरणों की वंदना करके सुख माना॥8॥"
English Meaning
"…Just as a feeble rabbit may dare to desire a lioness, O’ King of demons, you too have succumbed to your destined end.” Hearing Sita ji’s words, Ravan burned with fury; yet within his heart, he secretly bowed at her feet and felt elated (for he knew that by abducting Sita ji, he would soon confront Lord Ram in battle and meet his destined death at the Lord’s hands, thus attaining salvation)."
