"भावार्थ : योग, यज्ञ, जप, तप जो कुछ व्रत आदि भी मुनि ने किया था, सब प्रभु को समर्पण करके बदले में भक्ति का वरदान ले लिया। इस प्रकार (दुर्लभ भक्ति प्राप्त करके फिर) चिता रचकर मुनि शरभंगजी हृदय से सब आसक्ति छोड़कर उस पर जा बैठे॥4॥"

"The Sage had devoted his life to austerities, penance, yogic practices, sacred chanting, and fasting rituals. All of these he offered at the feet of the Lord, seeking only the rare gift of steadfast devotion. Having renounced every worldly attachment from his heart, Sage Sarabhang then prepared a funeral pyre and calmly seated himself upon it."
